R -- RENEW DOE TRAINING PROGRAMS DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy Technology Center (FETC), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a fixed priced purchase order to Urban Technologies Inc, Alexandria, VA to assist in revising and updating two public participation courses: 1) Managing public participation and 2) Communicating with the public. The contractor shall specifically include in his update, environmental justice and cultural sensitivity considerations as they apply to these courses. This purchase order is being issued to Urban Technologies Inc. because the owner and project manager of the firm is an environmental lawyer and was involved in preparing the original courses. Also he is and has been the only instructor for the two current courses. As the only instructor DOE has used for this area, Urban Technologies Inc is uniquely qualified to reflect these issues in the course material and instruction to be acqured through this purchase. This request is considered to be sole sourced to Urban Technologies Inc. Therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement.
