EXTENSION OF CONTRACT DE-AC24-81NE44139 WEST VALLEY NUCLEAR SERVICES CO., INC. In accordance with the provisions of 41. U.S.C. 263 (c)(1) it is the intent of the Department of Energy to extend without competition contract DE-AC24-81NE44139 with West Valley Nuclear Services Co. Inc (WVNS). for two (2) years with one twelve (12) month extension. Contractor is currently providing all services necessary to operate, manage, maintain and abate the existing radioactive hazardous and mixed waste situation at the West Valley Demonstration Project in accordance with, the West Valley Demonstration Act (1981) and in accordance with Public Law 96-368. WVNS has been determined to be the only source capable of providing the unique services necessary to complete vitrification requirements without unacceptable delays and duplicative costs.
