Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires the
facilities and services of a qualified hotel to provide guest rooms,
meeting rooms and related services for the Capital Markets Meeting. The
Meeting will be held from November 1 -- 6, 1998. There will be
approximately 150 attendees for the five day meeting. The estimated
maximum number of sleeping rooms is 140 for each of five nights. There
will be a general session for approximately 150 schoolroom style and
an estimated maximum of four concurrent sessions of 40 each schoolroom
style. There will be one reception for approximately 150 people, an
estimated maximum of five continental breakfasts, and several coffee
breaks daily. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS The hotel must be ... (1) located
in Washington, DC (1st preference); Baltimore, MD (2nd preference); or
Chicago, IL (3rd preference); ... (2) compliant with the Hotel and
Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law
101-391) and have a FEMA certification number; ... (3) compliant with
the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq.
(ADA); ... and (4) have one of the following quality ratings: First
class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; two stars or higher per
the Mobil Travel Guide; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns
or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY
OF THE SOLICITATION The OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation on or
about July 14, 1998. The solicitation document will contain the
details of the Meeting, the instructions for submitting a proposal, and
