CONTRACT INFORMATION -- Channel improvements will consist of enlarging approximately 5 miles of Yellow Creek and Little Yellow Creek in the vicinity of Middlesborough with construction of four retaining walls, relocation of sewer lines, coordination of other utility reloctaions, and coordination of rail line crossings with the local railroad company. 2. WORK ITEMS -- The principal items of work include but are not limited to the following approximate quantities: Clearing and Grubbing -- 1 Job; common excavation -- 950,000 CY; rock excavation -- 38,000 CY; embankment -- 5,000 CY; riprap -- 96,000 Tons; retaining walls -- 4,500 LF; paved ditches -- 8,000 LF; sod ditches -- 2,000 LF; guardrail -- 4,500 LF; and seeding 100 Acres. 3. GENERAL INFORMATION -- The contract performance time will be 910 calendar days with an estimated value of over $10,000,000.00. Contractors receiving the contract will be required to submit a subcontracting plan before award of the contract.
