sweber1@email.usps.gov. The work includes furnishing of all labor,
materials, equipment, permits, and services necessary for and
incidental to construction of a 23,000 SF carrier annex, per Postal
Service approved plans and specifications. The carrier annex is a
one-story, masonry veneer, steel frame building. The site is located on
the northwest corner of Lake Dam and Tryon Road. The estimated cost of
the project is between $1,500,000 and $1,800,000 with construction
completion within 210 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
Contractors must have all required state and local licenses for this
type of work in the above-stated area. The Mid-Atlantic Facilities
Service Office has a goal of 10% for minority subcontracting and
encourages subcontracting opportunities for minority and woman-owned
businesses. Offeror must provide, at time proposal is due,
documentation from bonding agent stating offeror's bonding capability.
Performance bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price and
payment bonds in the amount of 40% of thecontract price will be
required from the successful offeror within forty-eight (48) hours
after notification of award. Requests for solicitation packages shall
include a check or money order, which is non-refundable, in the amount
of $100 for each set, made payable to ARCADIS Geraghty & Miller.
