the Contractor furnishing all equipment, personnel, supervision,
materials, supplies, fuel, lubricants, and maintenance of equipment to
perform various tasks associated with the development and installation
of system which shall detect and alert Government personnel of the
presence of liquid in the concrete pits underneath the two station
transformers, which are located outside on the draft tube deck (elev.
117.0), immediately downstream of the generators at the Sam Rayburn
Reservoir powerhouse. The system shall also be capable of pumping out
any liquids that accumulate in the concrete pits to a
Contractor-furnished 30,000 gallon steel storage tank. The liquids to
be detected and removed under this contract are insulating oil and
water. In addition, the Contractor shall develop and install a sewage
pumping system, with backup pump, from the powerhouse sewage treatment
tank to a point outside the powerhouse. The contractor shall provide
and install the necessary pumps, piping system, etc., to pump the
sewage effluent up and out of the powerhouse in a two inch diameter
line to a terminal point. The sewage effluent line shall be a PVC line
sleeved into a galvanized steel line. This work will require coring
through thick concrete slabs. Cost Range: $100,000 to $250,000 No
express mail procedures will be utilized on initial mailing of plans
and specs. Solicitation to be issued on or about 4 August 1998. Bid
opening 3 September 1998. Duration of contract is estimated 120
calendar days. Offers from all qualified business concerns are
solicited. SIC code for this project will be 1629 and the size standard
