The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia intends to purchase ona brand name or equal basis, a Multiple RF Frequency Source which must meet the specifications and drawing available from Wanda Chamberlain at 540-653-4404. All companies must evaluate the specifications and drawing to bid this job. After request is received, a copy will be faxed to you. The Multiple RF Frequency Source must pass the following test (refer to figure for set-up): (1) view channels 1 through 4 on an oscilloscope; (2) trigger on channel 1 and note the phase of channels 2 through 4, relative to channel 1; (3) cycle the AC power for the LO's (#2) only; (4) check that the phase relationships from step 2 have not changed; (5) cycle the AC power for the RF inputs (#1) only; (6) check that the phase relationships from step 2 have not changed; (7) switch Multiple RF Frequency Sources 1 and 2 and repeat steps 1 through 6. Note: The test should be conducted as many times as the manufacturer deems necessary to insure that thephase relationships will never change (a minimum of 10 times.)
