F -- FISH HABITAT ENCHANCEMENT SOL R6-16-98-40 DUE 081998 POC Contracting Section, 541-523-1209 This solicitation is to secure services for fish habitat enhancement. Aquatic habitat and stream morphology enhancement and restoration using large boulders and conifer trees. Boulder structures will be constructed. Bank excavation will require the construction of meander bends and transport of material across the river to the point bar. Root-wads and logs will be installed in the bank and structures. Work will be accomplished with an excavator, dozer and track loader. The work site is located on the La Grande Ranger District, Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, Union County, Oregon.
