L -- C4I SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES SOL N00244-96-C-5078 DUE 082498 POC Patrice Melanson, Contract Specialist, (619)532-2559 The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Contracts Division, San Diego, intends to negotiate a 3-year extension to contract N00244-96-C-5078 with Logicon, Inc., Tactical Systems Division, for systems engineering and technical support necessary to accomplish work related to interoperability and standardization of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems in support of operation, development, testing, interface, modification or maintenance of current and future U.S. Navy-owned, leased or sponsored systems with related communications equipment. Current test systems include MULTOTS, MLST3, LMS, LASS, RITS and DTSS. The annual level of effort is estimated to be 106,440 man-hours. Negotiations to be conducted on a sole source basis pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1 as Logicon is the sole designed and developer of the systems and possesses proprietary data. The existing contract is for a base year with one option year, expiring 30 SEP 98. The proposed extension is estimated to be 01 OCT 98 through 30 SEP 01 for a total of 3 additional one-year options.
