ISSUE DATE 07/29/98. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials,
equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to rehab
Building #5210 (Activities Building) at USCG Air Station Cape Cod,
Bourne, MA (Barnstable County). Work includes, but is not limited to,
enlarging two toilet door openings for handicap access; new 2' x 4'
suspended ceilings in bowling alley, all purpose room, game/video room,
lobby, vestibule, office hall, toilet, electrical room, service hall,
egress hall and storage. Cutting new door openings in existing 6"
concrete block; provide final plumbing hook-up connections for drinking
fountains; minor drywall partitions; minor plumbing renovations; new
heating system; new HVAC in bowling alley, lobby, vestibule; a complete
new electrical system from the service to each individual branch
circuit. Three additive bid items for new central air conditioning in
"All Purpose room"; new central air conditioning in "Game/Video room";
complete fire sprinkler system. Estimated cost of this project is
between $250,000 and $500,000 dollars, inclusive of additive bid items.

INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS
ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT
Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000. For
