58 -- LEASE OF LOUDSPEAKERS DUE 072798 POC Jane H. Sutherlin, Contracting Officer, 910/432-2146 This is a Notice of Intent to negotiate a contract with Video Masters, Inc., Kansas City, MO for the lease of 36 each Model LSS-800C medium power Vehicle mounted and 20 each Model LSS-40C manpack loudspeakers to support US Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations units. The loudspeakers must match the current AN/PIH-1B loudspeaker system used by the Army. The lease period is as follows: 16 each vehicle mounted for the period 16 Sep 98 through 15 Sep 99 and the remaining vehicle mounted and the manpack for the period 1 Oct 98 through 30 Sep 99. Offerors who can furnish the required items, may submit, in writing, a proposal substantiated by technical data, brochures, etc. to include pricing (FOB Destination). All responses must be received not later than 27 July 1998. All responses from responsible sources submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation.
