D -- PROPOSALS TO IMPROVE CHINOOK TECHNICAL COMMITTEE (CTC) ANALYTICAL TOOLS. SOL WASC8-1498 POC Randall Brown (voice) (206) 526-6226/FAX (206) 526-6025 NOAA requesting proposals to improve Chinook Technical Committee (CTC) analytical tools. Current analytical tools currently used include a model used to evaluate alternative fishery regimes and estimate the abundance of stocks in fisheries of concerns to the Pacific Salmon Commission (PSC). Current model requires updating to more effectively utilize improvements in computing technololgy, modeling techniques, and procedures. The CTC currently uses five programs associated with the PSC Chinook model, all written in Quick Basic 4.0b. Contractor will re-code the PSC Chinook software and incorporate more efficient algorithms and new capabilities. Estimated period of performance is one year. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. Vendors with qualifications and experience programming Quick Basic 4.0b encouraged to respond.
