The Defense Industrial Supply Center (DISC) is seeking proposals from vendors interested in being a single supplier for Parker Hannifin O-rings and seals. Specifically, this solicitation encompasses 263 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) which DISC has identified as having requirements from military customers within the last four (2) years. The thread of commonality among these items is that Parker Hannifin is identifiable as a source of supply these items are either sole source to Parker Hannifin, or Parker Hannifin is an approved/acceptable source of supply, or a military standard (Mil Std) exists for which Parker Hannifin has historically been a source of supply. The five Parker Hannifin CAGE codes involved are (02697), (83259), (30781), (18565), and (60363). The subject solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis, with a 10% evaluation preference for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB). None of the 263 NSNs have been identified to a mandatory source of supply (e.g., National Institute for the Blind/National Institute for the Severely Handicapped, Federal Prison Industries, JWOD, etc.). The resultant contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC), with a base period of thirty (30) months and one-thirty (30) month option period to extend the term of the contract. The contract will cover military customers in the continental United States. This will be a "best value" source selection acquisition with technical merit being more important than price. Solicitation SP0500-98-R-0012 is expected to be issued on, or about, July 17, 1998 and have an estimated closing date of August 17, 1998.
