THIS SOLICITATION IS RESTRICTED TO GENERAL CONTRACTORS PREVIOUSLY PRE-QUALIFIED UNDER SOLICITATION 193045-98-A-0534 THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS FOR THIS PROJECT. On or about 7/13/98, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for construction of the new North View Carrier Annex in Lincoln NE. Proposals will be opened on 8/12/98 at 3:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PROPOSAL OPENING. The value of the work is estimated to be between $1,700,000 and $2,000,000. Description of the work is: The project consists of a new Postal Carrier Annex of approximately 20,000 sq ft. Contractor is responsible for all permits, fees, and coordination with Postal vendors equipment installation required to complete project. Facility will be located at Bair Avenue and N 31st St in Lincoln, NE. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete within 280 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be accessed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
