The project involves all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation, and performance of all operations required performing the Renovation and Repairs to Building 1217, Hanscom AFB MA in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The principal items of work include, but are not limited to: demolition of existing ceilings, demolition of the existing HVAC ducts system, demolition of the power distribution system, demolition of existing fire suppression system, selective demolition of floor areas where sistering and leveling will occur, installation of new HVAC system, installation of new fire suppression system, installation of new power distribution system, installation of new suspended ceiling, and repair to the floor areas that were disturbed. There will be three optional bid items. Option 1 will consist of insulation of the joists above the crawlspace; Option 2 will provide four office trailers to the site complete with hook-ups and HVAC; and Option 3 provides split HVAC system. Each bid item and Option Item will have its own performance period, the total of which will be 200 calendar days. CLIN's may be worked simultaneously. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Proposals received from this solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with the following criteria, listed in relative order of importance: 1A. Technical Proposal and 1B. Past Performance, 2. Cost. Solicitation is to be issued o/a 27 Jul 98. There will be no Pre-Proposal Conference at the site. Drawings will be mailed via United States Postal Service when the contractor has registered at the internet address. There is no charge for the drawings. Telephone requests will not be honored.
