Sections 4A & 5A Building 36, 3200 South Second Street. Work consists
of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all
work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and
drawings forming parts thereof, for the repair of sections 4A & 5A.
Work is to include construction of new offices, conference rooms, a
break area with cabinets and sink and new door openings with fire rated
doors plus enclosing existing door openings. Existing carpet and vinyl
base are to be replaced. Walls and columns will also be furred out to
allow for electrical utilities to be flush mounted. All walls and
existing ceiling grids on 4A are to be painted. New electrical panels
will be installed and existing panels will be modified. Electrical
circuits will be routed above the ceilings so that 115 system furniture
cubicles can be installed by the government at a later date. Electrical
power will also be provided inside furred columns and walls. Technical
power will also be routed underneath an existing raised floor area for
computer equipment. One package air conditioner will be installed for
computer room cooling. Additional lighting will be installed and
existing lighting relocated and reswitched on section 4A. The existing
obsolete fire protection and fire detection system on 4A will be
replaced with a new Notifier system. The work shall be performed by a
general contractor who has extensive experience in office renovations.
All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable
NIMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this
project is 100 days. The contractor shall be required to perform a
certain amount of work outside normal weekday working hours to
eliminate disruption of Government services. The approximate cost of
this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This work is located at
the National Imagery and Mapping Agency facilities at 3200 South
Second Street, which is east of Broadway and south of Arsenal Street in
south City of St. Louis. This is 100 percent set-aside for small
business. The SIC code is 1751; size standard $7 million. All sources
