This Acquisition is for all services necessary to produce, install and support up to thirteen additional AN/TTC-56(V1) Single Shelter Switches (SSS) and spares identical to systems currently being developed and manufactured by GTE under Contract DAAB07-97-C-F759. It is a sole source acquisition to modify Contract DAAB07-97-C-F759 through negotiation with GTE Government Systems Corporation, Taunton, MA in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1(b)(1), Only One Responsible Source, since the government does not own the full technical documentation and data rights for the switching technology required for the SSS.
