61 -- REPLACE SIX NEW DRY-TYPE AIR-CORE SERIES CONNECTED TAPPED REACTORS SOL F40650-98-R-0025 DUE 082198 POC Tony Clayborne, Contracting Officer, (931) 454-7841 This requirement is for providing and installing six new single phase, dry-type air-core series connected tapped reactors. The reactors are connected to AC power systems to control power flow and limit fault current. The replacement of these six reactors are due to cracking of the concrete supports. The performance period shall be 300 calendar days from contract award date. Actual on-site installation shall be accomplished during a single contiguous downtime period of ten calendar days. All existing reactors and other material to be removed will remain the property of the Government and the contractor shall transport all removed equipment to the AEDC warehouse for disposition by the Government. Any responsible source may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Firms responding to this synopsis shall do so in writing and indicate whether they are a minority business concern.
