The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire from one manufacturer under the authority of 41USC253(c)1). The Government knows of only one qualified source authorized to provide the device referenced; Belfort Instrument of Baltimore, MD. The Government does not have specifications and drawings. Any other business sources able to provide the exact make and model of the equipment referenced herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 calendar days of the date of this announcement. The spares will be delivered to the National Weather Service, Kansas City, on an FOB Destination basis. Interested firms should submit in writing, there name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding their capability to provide the specified equipment, andthe name, telephone number, and point of contact for a businesses or other Government agency to which it has previously provided the item. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no qualified responses are received, the Government intends to contract with the Belfort Instrument Company for the item required.
