items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Requst For
Quote number DAAC83-98-T-0220 applies to this acquisition..
Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. The associated
standard industrial classification code is 2599 with a small business
size standard of 500. This is a unrestricted acquisition (full and open
competition.) Line item 0001 has a quantity of one (1) each for a
standard power drawers cabinet storage system (vertical lift AS/RS
retrieval) and to include on-site installation at the Corpus Christi
Army Depot, Corpus Christi, TX. Line item 0002 has a quanitty of one
(1) each for a electro-static discharge (ESD) power drawer cabinet
storage system and to include on-site installation at the Corpus
Christi Army Depot, Corpus Christi, TX. The following description
applies to line item 0001 and 0002: Power Drawer Cabinet
Specifications, 1. Standard Power Drawer Cabinet: 1 each, 15 foot unit
consisting of variable vertical spacing. Unit shall consist of 12
drawers with 4" pitch, 24 drawers with 6" pitch, and 9 drawers with 8"
pitch. All drawers shall be equiped with loading diagrams and
associated dividers. Each drawer shall have a 500 pound load capacity:
2. Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) Cabinet: 1 each 15 foot unit
consisting of variable vertical spacing. Unit shall consist of 9
drawers with 4" pitch, 20 drawers with 6" pitch, 9 drawers with 8"
pitch, and 4 drawers with 12" pitch. Drawers and workstation area shall
be protected from static dissipative control: 3. Accessibilty: Both
units shall have a side entrance service door for routine maintenance
accessibility to inventory in the event of failure: System capacity:
Each storage unit shall not occupy no more than 75 square feet of
usable space. Total capacity of each system shall be a minimum of
85,000 pounds. A minimum of 5 horsepower (peak) vertical lift drive
shall be used to power each unit. Lift platform for carrying loaded
drawers shall have a minimum capacity of 500 pounds in each unit: 5.
Safety and Security: Both units shall be equipped with an emergency
stop button and operator safety features to prevent operator injury.
This shall include but not be limited to system shutdown if service
door is opern during operation or an individual extends into the
storage space through the operations window. The storage units shall be
equipped with keyboard control and supervisor security password. A pull
down locking door shall be included on each system for added security
during "off" hours. Operator light shall be included in both units at
the operator window. Height sensors shall be placed in both units to
prevent part damage and insure operator safety: 6. Inventory control:
System shall include interface for hook-up to standard office PC to
insure computer control. Inventory management software shall be
included to both systems and be compatible with existing mainframe
database: 7. Accessories: All drawer accessories shall be factory
installed and ready for use upon delivery: 8. Installation: All items
shall be installed by the offeror. The government will provide power to
the recommended disconnect switch. Commerical Item Provisions 52.212-1,
52..212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 apply. This is a DO rated
acquisition. Response is due no later than July 31, 1998, 4:00 CSDT.
