Concerns having the ability to provide the following services are requested to give written notification to the acquiring office listed in this notice within 30 days from the date of this synopsis. The requirement is for commercially available national, digital, wireless, personal communication service. The service shall provide the following capabilities: iDen based digital cellular service, two-way digital radio service, voice mail, text messaging, numeric paging, caller identification, fraud protection and digital call privacy, all integrated into a single handset. The system should allow for future technological enhancements to include: Virtual Private Network (VPN), wireless data and encryption. It is the Government's belief that the service described above is only available from one scource. See note 22. This is not a formal solicitation.
