Abney, 202-708-6498 The U.S. Department of Education seeks to procure a contractor to operate the Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention. The Center's mission is to combat drug use and abuse and the consequences associated with it in American colleges and universities through use of prevention strategies. The Center activities will include providing training and technical assistance on alcohol and other drug use an prevention for IHEs; developing and distributing information materials; providing support for the Network of Colleges and Universities committed to the elimination of drugs and alcohol abuse, and conducting evaluation and assessment activities. RFP-98-R-0027 is anticipated to be issued on or about July 17, 1998. The RFP closes on August 17, 1998. Request for copies may be made by telephone, mail, telegram, or in person.
