ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN
SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Synopsis/Solicitation F30602-98-T0518
is being issued as a REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) incorporating
provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular
97-5 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. Additional information may

employees. ITEM 0001; ONE EACH, STEEL TOWER, 15 FOOT HIGH CUSTOM STEEL
TOWER TO BE FABRICATED PER X983530, X983531, X983532 DRAWINGS;
Contractor to fabricate and assemble (weld) all parts necessary to
build a 15 foot tower extension. Drawings available upon request from

be free of all burrs, slivers, and sharp edges. Welding shall be in
accordance with AWS D1.1 latest edition (Refer to drawing X983530). 2

(X983532) Reinforcing Gussets (1/2in. thick X 10 wide X 180in. long
ASTM A36HRS). General Requirements: a 15 foot high tower is to be built
and bolted to the existing 20 foot high "site x" tower at the Newport
Test Facility. This tower will consist of a "thick ASTM A36 HRS plate
rolled to a dia. Of 9'-4". This tower will be 15'-0" high. A 116"
outside dia. X 87" inside dia. X 2" thick ASTM A36 HRSplate will be
welded to the top and bottom of the tank. A total of 48 holes (24 in
top and 24 in bottom rings) of 9/16" dia. Are to be drilled per print
X983531. For machining and welding specifications and other questions
