Logistic Support to the Improved Mobile Subscriber Equipment (IMSE) Contract for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) with Taiwan. This acquisition includes the purchase of IMSE unique spare and repair parts, Depot Level Repair Services, On-call Technical Services, Training Consulting Services and Engineering Management Services. Period of Performance shall consist of one base year and four one year options. The original MSE System was procured on a full and open competition basis, using Non-Developmental Item (NDI) Acquisition approach in which GTE Government Systems Corp. had total system integration responsibility. GTE was also the manufacturer for major switching equipment which established the heart of the MSE System. See Note 22.
