The 89th Contracting Squadron at Andrews AFB intends to issue and post on the internet (http://www.andrews.af.mil/89lg/89cons/biz-service.htm) a solicitation, on or about 27 July 98 for Service and Maintenance of Portable and Wheeled fire extinguishers. The service includes but is not limited to Hydrostatic Testing, Winterizing, Recharging, Corrective Maintenance, and Painting. Proposals will be evaluated on the following factors: Price and Past performance. This acquisition is subject to FAR Part 12 Procedures. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small businesses. The SIC Code 7389. The business size must be included with your written solicitation requests. Only written request will be honored and only one copy per firm. All information required for submission of an offer will be included in the solicitation package. We do not issue receipts for either your request for the solicitation package or for your offer. No information will be given over the phone. Only requests received directly from the firm will be honored. The government is contemplating a contract for a basic period of 1 year plus four one-year option periods. The Government reserves the right not to exercise the options.
