SOLICITATION/MODIFICATION OF CONTRACT, AND A LIST OF REVISED
SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS WILL BE MAILED TO EACH BIDDER. DESCRIPTION
OF WORK: This project is to provide at Pope AFB, North Carolina, three
new structures, including all interior/exterior utility infrastructure,
supporting utilities and site development/improvements/landscaping. The
project is designed with "Hard Metric" modules in accordance with Air
Force ETL 94-8. Two of the structures are three story dormitories for
unaccompanied personnel. The dormitories are comprised of modular units
of two living rooms (apartments) which share a bath and kitchenette.
These buildings have exterior balcony room entrances with exterior
stairways. The third is a one-story common building for community
activities, such as laundry, physical fitness, lounge, mail boxes, bulk
storage, and supporting requirements. The three buildings surround a
landscaped courtyard. Supporting utilities include, electrical
distribution, natural gas, sanitary, and water supply. Also included is
asphalt pavement with concrete curbing for vehicle parking, concrete
pavement for landscaping, walkways and related items. Landscaping to
the provided is a mix of 1) native pine trees, American hollies and
magnolias; 2) native species of large trees, such as willow oaks, tulip
trees, eastern red oak and sweetgum; and 3) other detailed plantings of
shrubs and groundcovers. Estimated cost range of project is from
$5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Network Analysis System will be required.
