The work consists of renovating two (2) General Officer's Quarters, Units 141 and 142, Fort Monroe, VA which includes: to renovate existing bathrooms and/or new bathrooms; upgrade/remodel kitchens; upgrade laundry facilities; restore/replace wood windows and doors; abate lead paint of all wood surfaces and abate/encapsulate wall and ceiling surfaces; provide central HVAC with natural gas heating; upgrade plumbing, including replacement of fixtures and of piping to the street main; upgrade electrical systems, including replacement of all wiring and panels and removal of exposed conduit; seal all fireplaces, provide natural gas log for one fireplace in each quarters; provide attic ventilation; insulate attics; replace water heaters; upgrade and repair porches; refinish or replace hardwood flooring, as needed; ensure efficient, functional layout; replace roofing, including flashing, gutters and down spouts; provide for water runoff; provide door chimes front and back; provide exterior lighting; repair exterior masonry as needed; repair sidewalks; improve site grading and drainage; provide landscaping.
