A -- SCIENTIFIC AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FOR COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS SOL AHCPR-98-0017 POC Jacquelyn C. Carey, (301) 594-1445, ext. 1173 The Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR) intends to award a sole source contract to the New England Medical Center, Primary Care Outcome Research Institute, Boston, MA. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. As stipulated in the Request for Announcement (RFA) for the Cooperative Agreements, AHCPR will establish a Collaborative Scientific Working Group (CSWG) to implement the involvement of all parties involved in the cooperative agreements and establish a Research Coordinating Center (RCC). One of the co-chairs of the CSWG, again as stipulated in the RFA, is at the New England Medical Center. The New England Medical Center, under the direction of the co-chair, will be responsible for the pooling of selected data on masures of outcome and quality of care and for establishing and overseeing the RCC. The period of performance for this effort will be approximately forty-two (42) months. The estimated issuance date of RFP No. AHCPR-98-0017 is July 30, 1998, with proposals due approximately 30 calendar days thereafter.
