R -- REPORT ON ASSESSMENT OF NUMBERS OF PRIMARY CARE PROVIDERS SOL HRSA-98-BHPR-B32876 DUE 073198 POC Aileen Broider-301-443-5231 The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the Wisconsin Network for Health Policy Research, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, 1500 University Avenue, Madison, WI 53706. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this procurement is to prepare a report to the Council on Graduate Medical Education (COGME) on a nationally based quantitative assessment of the numbers of physician providers to provide adequately for the need of underserved rural and inner-city areas according to the recommendation in COGME's "Tenth Report." The contractor shall provide written statements of project objectives, methodology, and timeline; obtain data, analyze it and provide progress reports; provide a draft and final report containing the data and results of the analysis; and submit a draft manuscript journal article. The Wisconsin Network for Health Policy Research, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services. The period of performance is twelve months. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is on file. The award shall be made using simplified acquisition procedures.
