These services include: inventory control, equipment management, warehousing, shipping and receiving, pick-up and delivery, tool crib, mail delivery, and electronic generation of various logistical functional management reports, using government provided computerized inventory control, automated supply and equipment management systems, that provide accountability and financial management information. Additional effort may be required to support special requirements in the support of special events such as open house days, special award functions, and Shuttle Operations. In addition, the Contractor shall provide the necessary program management and administrative support associated with these functions, including productivity improvement and quality enhancement objectives. The required services will normally be furnished between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except as noted in specific areas of the statement of work, or as directed by the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR). Location of these services will be at or near the Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, California. The envisioned contract will have a five (5) year period of performance. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 8744 and $20M, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the RFO and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97-07. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the draft RFO is on or about August 15, 1998 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about September 15, 1998.
