Provide sewing services for the Tennessee Army National Guard for the base period of 1 October 1998 through 30 September 1999 with two (2) one (1) year option periods. The Tennessee Army National Guard has a requirement for Name Tapes, US Army Tapes and Unit Insignias to be sewn on various types of military uniforms. The requirement is for off-site services with the successful contractor picking up the uniforms in Nashville at the USPFO; taking them to his facility for sewing service and then returning them to the USPFO warehouse in Nashville, Tennessee. Both pick-up and delivery will occur at least once per week and possibly one pick-up and one delivery per week. The physical location of the successful contractor and the location where the work will be performed shall be within 70 miles of Nashville, Tennessee. All required sewing will be accomplished in accordance with current Army uniform regulations with inspections made upon return receipt of uniforms. The turn-around time for sewing services shall be not more than seven (7) calendar days. Evaluation and award will be made based on Best Value to the Government. Evaluation factors will be established in the solication. The Solicitation will be issued no sooner than 15 days after this notice is published.
