Provide personnel, management, and any other items and services not Government furnished necessary to conduct Military Skills Enhancement Instruction (MSEI) for soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas for a Base Period and 4 Option Years as required by Solicitation DAKF48-98-R-0007. MSEI shall include courses taught in Troop School for MOS improvement as well as other courses that enhance soldier job performance, provide certification in technical skills, or supplement knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to mission performance. Many courses require transcripted or evaluated post-secondary credit be given. Courses requiring post-secondary credit shall be provided only by a contractor or sub-contractor accredited to award such credit by one of the American council on Education's Accrediting Institutions for Post-Secondary Education. Proof of valid accreditation shall be provided with the offer. The contract resulting from this solicitation will be a firm fixed price requirements type service contract with the base period anticipated to begin 1 November 1998 and continue through 31 October 1999. The Standard Industrial classification Code (SIC) code for this acquisition is 8299, with a size standard of $5 million. This requirement is not considered to be a commercial item or service.
