This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitations will not be issued. The Request for Quote (RFQ) is F65501-98-Q0315. The provisions and clauses incorporated are those in Federal Acquisition Circular 90-64, and it has a standard industrial code (SIC) of 3812. Wage Determination of 94-2017 Rev (14) applies. The services required in the scope of work includes the lease and installation of 4 each Distance Measuring Equipment units at 4 remote radar sites in Alaska. The units are Single Mode Low Power. Equipment shall be installed and completely operational by 30 Sep 98. The initial lease period shall be through 30 Sep 98 with 5 year options and an option to buy. Lease shall include return and repair or replacement work and spare parts at each site. In addition to the installation, training for 3 each technicians at each of the four sites of preventive and minor maintenance shall be included in the quote. A frequency for the equipment shall be determined at a later date, prior to the installation of the equipment at the remote sites. Additional information and drawings can be obtained by request.
