Reconstruction of Road 9966 Strawberry Point. Work involves widening the existing roadbed to a width of 5.0 meters, constructing turnouts to a wideth of 8.0 meters, removing two 450mm corrugated metal pipes, installing two 900mm corrugated metal pipes and placing and compacting pit run material on 0.40km of existing road. Install one premanufactured restroom, complete with 750 gallon vault and building shell, as furnished by the Government. The work also entails haul from the USDA Forest Service compound, Yakutat, AK to the project site located on Forest Road #9966 at the Situk River, site preparation (clearing, grubbing and disposal), excavation and embankment utilizing Government-furnished pit run gravel fill, furnishing and placement of concrete pavement and aggregate surfacing and installation of Government-furnished timber posts. The project is located on Road9966 approximately 21.0 km south of Yakutat, Alaska, T 28S, R 34E, Sec. 36. Yakutat is accessible by barge, boat or float plane. This project is estimated to be between $25,000 -- $100,000 and is being advertised on an unrestricted basis. The package is estimated to be available on August 4.
