AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR Humidity and
Temperature System for Pain Spray Booth. Companies shall acknowledge
all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official
amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be
issued. The purpose of this amendment is to provide an official
response to questions received. QUESTION: Are there any explosion proof
requirements? ANSWER: No. QUESTION: Do you need closed or open loop?
ANSWER: Open loop. QUESTION: What size duct is needed. ANSWER: Don't
know. QUESTION: What is meant by 3 access doors? ANSWER: The 3 access
doors are for working on the paint spray booth. QUESTION: What kind of
filtering (is it for the fresh air intake)? (item f) ANSWER: Fresh air
intake filtering. QUESTION: Is mechanical refrigeration needed? What
are the dimensions of the room, what is in the room? (item i) ANSWER:
Yes and the NASA/MSFC Facilities Office will provide utilities and
install this unit. The room dimensions are 54 feet deep by 10 feet wide
by 8 feet high. Work benches, tool box, and holder for test panels are
in the room. QUESTION: In item j, is it suppose to read electrical
control panel w/starter? ANSWER: Yes. QUESTION: Item m, are you doing
mechanical cooling or some other method? ANSWER: Yes with chilled
water. QUESTION: Does this unit set outside? Does it need to be weather
proof? ANSWER: Yes. Yes. QUESTION: Is there a drawing showing unit
arrangement available? ANSWER: No. QUESTION: Is there a drawing showing
how much duct work is required? ANSWER: No. QUESTION: Is there another
source for Standard Form 1449. I could not get a good copy off the
internet? ANSWER: Other than
