70 -- GENERAL PURPOSE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT SOL F41622-98-RA111 POC Bill Lucas, 210-536-6222 Brooks AFB, Operational Contracting intends to award a Sole Source contract to The Doctor's Software, 760 Coronado Court, Grover Beach CA 93433. The requirement is for the Doctor's Software Basic System for Panasonic and Harshaw Thermoluminescent Dosimeter (TLD) readers. The Panasonic System includes the following features: Badge Reading, Issue, Dose Calculations, ECFS, QC, Reports, Database Features, and Issue Customization. The Basic Harshaw System includes the same functionallity as the Panasonic System and is totally integrated. Software is fully year 2000 compliant. It supports most networks and is fully multi-user/multi-tasking compliant. This system is compatible with current resources and is the sole manufacturer and distributor of their product. This system ensures continued compatibility with the U.S. Army Dosimetry Center, required under existing inter-agency backup agreement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this award is solely within the discretion of the Government. No award will be made on the basis of quotes received in response to this synopsis. If quotes are solicited no additional synopsis will be published.
