The Statement of Work is for engineering services to perform unit under
test (UUT) maintenance to correct the operation of the Turbine Engine
Monitoring System RPM circuit card assemblies (CCA) P/Ns 9383749-10 and
9383749-50. The contractor shall deliver all Source and Object software
programs as modified to accomplish the UUT software changes to correct
the functionality of the remaining model RPM CCAs. The approximate
issue date will be 11 Sep 98. No telephone requests. Only written,
faxed or e-mailed requests received directly from the requestor are
acceptable. This contract will be issued under a firm-fixed price type
contract. Evaluation criteria: 1) price, 2) must meet period of
performance requirements -- 2 months All responsible sources may submit
a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This acquisition
is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business
(SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early possible but
not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest by providing
written notic e to point of contract for this notice. If adequate
interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be
issued as 100% small business set-aside without further notice.
Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all small busin
ess concerns as well as from SDB concerns. All potential offerors
should contact the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for additional
information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this
acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting
officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors
or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of an
acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the
program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates Contractor
concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate
Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain
strict confidentially as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman
does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source
