J- BACKSHOP PROCESSES FOR AIRCRAFT AND GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT Industry Day -- Backshop Processes (Plating, Cleaning, Heat Treat, Shot Peening Kelly Air Force Base intends to enter into a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with one or more contractors for each of the following processes: Plating aircraft and ground support equipment; cleaning steel, stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium, and painted aluminum and steel parts; heat treating aircraft engine parts; and shot peening aircraft and ground support equipment in accordance with provided directives or their commercial equivalent. Period of the BPA will be from 01 Sept 1998 through 31 Dec 2000. Kelly AFB is planning an industry day for July 27, 1998 at 9:00AM. During this time interested vendors will be given a tour of the area and shown the type of equipment that will be sent for each process. In order to enter into a BPA with Kelly Air Force Base, a vendor is not required to attend the industry day; however, the government feels it will help the vendor in providing a price list for the various items for eachprocess. The items identified herein for each process are representative of the total items for each process. These items represent the majority of the workload for each process. A comprehensive list of all items for each process will be provided to each interested vendor after the industry day.
