The repairs to the 55-foot tall historic lighthouse include the following: Complete removal and replacement of exterior paint from cast iron structure. Includes moderate corrosion removal and disposal of lead paint debris (approx. 2800 SF); complete removal and replacement of interior paint on metal spiral stair case, metal floors, metal walls, metal ceilings, wood walls, conduit, and lantern stand. Includes moderate corrosion removal and disposal of lead paint debris (approx. 1000 SF); removal (only) of interior Portland cement based masonry sealant (approx 1400 SF); repair and painting of historic wooden doors (3) and threshold (1). Includes disposal of lead paint debris. Replacement and painting of custom tongue and groove radial wood ceiling panels (approx. 120SF), blocking, and corner molding (approx. 40 LF). Scraping and painting of window trim, sash, mullions, sills, and astragals (13 large windows). Includes minor corrosion removal and disposal of lead paint debris. Repair of historic iron latches, decorative mortise locks/knobs, and cast iron hinges. Removal and replacement of paint on portlight style windows (4). Resealing of the joints between metal deck plate joints on catwalk. Minor repairs to the foundation including replacement of concrete curb and walkway (approx. 150SF). Replacement of pressure treated timber bumpers around the perimeter of octagonal foundation (approx. 128 LF). Installation of new interior light fixture and incidental related work. Estimated cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. SIC is 1721. Performance period is 90 days after Notice to Proceed.
