DACW17) The project consists of removing shoal material from Cut-1N
Kings Bay Entrance Channel, Station 225+00 to Station 340+00, to a
depth of 49 feet with an allowable overdepth of 2 feet. The total
amount of material to be dredged is approximately 600,000 cubic yards
(cy). All of the dredged material will be placed in the Fernandina ODMS
located approximately 13 miles from the Kings Bay Entrance Channel.
Method of dredging will be unrestricted during the time period of 01
December 1998 through 31 March 1998, and will be restricted to other
than hopper dredging during the time period of 01 April 1999 through 30
November 1999. Work also includes Sea Turtle Trawling and Relocation,
Turbidity and Endangered Species Monitoring. Magnitude of construction
is between $1,000,000. to $5,000,000. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be
issued on or about 16 July 98. Invitation DACW17-98-B-0025 will be
issued on or about 30 July 98 and opened on or about 01 Sept 98. Cost
of Plans and Specifications is $40.00. Checks should be made payable to
FAO USAED Jacksonville, and sent to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
