The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire, on a 100% Small Business set-aside basis, the development and maintenance of an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USED TO MAINTAIN STOCK LEVELS OF LENSES at the Optometry Department, Naval Hospital, Great Lakes, IL. The contractor will be required to develop an Inventory Management System which will be used to maintain the inventory of lenses at Government specified levels. The contractor will be required to replace each lens used, on a one-for-one basis as inventory drops below the Government specified levels. The contractor will also be responsible for transitioning current inventories into their Inventory Management System. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated with a base period of performance commencing 01 October 1998 and running through 30 September 1999, with four (4) one-year options provisions. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3851, size standard 500 employees. The solicitation will require the submission of past performance and price proposals.
