DuBose, Contracting Officer, 717-770-7107 The Defense Distribution Center located in New Cumberland, PA has a requirement for a contractor to provide and install a total of seventy-three (73) weighing and cubing devices/systems at eight (8) Defense Logistics Agency depots. The exact locations and quantities will be provided in the solicitation package. The Contractor shall also provide all hardware, software, cables, etc. required to make the system fully functional upon installation and acceptance by the Government. The devices/systems shall display the weight, computed cube, the X, Y, Z dimensions, and the calculated maximum quantity of material to be placed in a "tote" and on a pallet on a Government supplied screen. The devices/systems shall also display the weight and the X, Y, z dimensions of the item being measured on a display integrated into the front of the Government system. Once the item has been placed onto the weigher/cuber, the weight, dimension and cube information shall be generated and displayed without further action by the operator other than a single motion activation of a switch or similar device to display the calculated material maximum to be placed in a "tote" or on a pallet. The weighing and cubing devices/systems are to provide the required weight and cube information, calculation, and interface protocol for the Depot Standard System (DSS). The weighing and cubing devices/systems must be fully functional and operational in the DSS environment. The Government requires final acceptance of all weighing and cubing devices/systems within 105 days after contract award. This acquisition is unrestricted.
