The Bechtel NV support program for the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is purchasing a new Neodymium Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (Nd: YAG) laser system for primary use with the Line Imaging Velocity Interferometer diagnostic technique on future subcritical experiments located at LANL. This is a custom laser system and is essential in the development of the imaging interferometer system that has been classified as the prime diagnostic for sub-critical tests for DOE in FY99.
