The U.S. EPA's Office of Research Development, National Risk Management Research Laboratory, Technology Transfer and Support Division has a requirement for expert writing services to prepare a chapter for an upcoming manual on onsite wastewater systems, entitled, "Wastewater Characterization, Fate of Pollutants and Monitoring". The services shall include the production of a draft chapter for peer review and subsequent incorporation of comments into both a final hard copy and specific electronic format. The period of performance for the effort is 21 weeks from the date of award. EPA intends to issue a request for a written quotation (RFQ) using FAR Part 13 -- Simplified Acquisition procedures. The anticipated award date for this simplified acquisition is on or before 8/31/98. This is a total small business set-aside. The applicable SIC code is 8731. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation which will be considered by the Agency. Requests for the RFQ must be in writing, and submitted prior to 8/5/98.
