SIC code of 1629. Competition for this acquisition is unrestricted,
open to both large and small business concerns, and may require a
subcontracting plan. The magnitude of construction is between $5
Million and $10 Million and the construction period is 365 days.
Lomaland Basin Phase II is located in the SE Area of El Paso and is a
component of the SE El Paso Flood Control System. The basin is located
in an urban area adjacent to Hillcrest Middle School. The Phase II
project will contain the 100-year storm and pass the Probable Maximum
Flood (PMF) through the emergency spillway. Phase II is construction of
a homogeneous earthen embankment, approximately 32 feet in height and
3700 feet long with a 1046-foot wide concrete spillway. Twelve-inch
dumped rock and gravel slope protection are used for the upstream and
downstream slopes, respectively. A new outlet works with an intake
tower, a gatewell structure, a 254-foot long 36-inch diameter
cast-in-place conduit with steel liner under the earthen embankment, a
123.5-foot long 36-inch diameter RCP and a 612-foot long trapezoidal
concrete channel conveys flow to the existing Mesa Dam. The Baseline
"B" inlet structure consists of an existing underground storm drain
system with a 108-inch diameter RCP, and a new 81.5-foot energy
dissipator (stilling basin) to convey flows from drainage areas along
Lafayette Drive and Yermoland Drive into Lomaland Basin. Bonding will
be required for this acquisition. Questions of a technical nature
