Harris, 415-427-1332 The work under this contract consists of the general construction of a soda ash system, a zinc orthophosphate feed system, and the cleaning of approximately 4,600 linear feet of a tuberculated potable water line. This construction project is to remove deposits from the interior of the water distribution lines by "pigging", and to prevent further corrosion and deposition. The project is located at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii. Contract duration is 90 calendar days. The price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract. This procurement is open to both large and small businesses. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1711 and the annual size standard is $7.0 million. This procurement will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the "best value" to the Government. The best value determination will be made on the basis of (1) the acceptablity of the offer; (2) the capability (e.g., experience and past performance) of theofferor; and (3) price reasonableness. The Government will assess the capability of each offeror on the basis of (1) its organizational experience; (2) its organizational past performance; (3) its qualifications and experience of key personnel; and (4) its demonstrated ability to comply with instructions. For purposes of evaluation, the Government considers an offeror's capability equal to its price. THE SITE VISIT IS SCHEDULED ON SEPTEMBER 1, 1998 with participants to meet at 10:00 AM at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Park Headquarters Area.
