This project consists of furnishing manpower, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for performance under a Fixed Price Design/Build Contract to construct a New U. S. Postal Service owned, Processing and Distribution Annex, at a site located at the North Side of Highway 275, North of Intersection of Pine Industrial Road, Norfolk, Nebraska. This project consists of a Major Facility construction of approximately 68,000 gross square feet, as shown on the conceptual/preliminary drawings and specifications. The construction will include spread footing, steel framing superstructure with steel joists and girders. Interior enclosure will be insulates precast concrete panels. Site preparation and development will include concrete paved loading dock aprons and maneuvering areas. The successful Design/Build or General Contractor is to complete the design and construct the Processing and Distribution Annex in accordance with the conceptual/preliminary drawings and specifications. The performance time forthis Design/Build project is 480 calendar. Proposals are desired from Design/Build Contractors who meet the qualifications spelled out in the solicitation. A management plan to identify on-site staffing and key personnel assigned to this project, with appropriate resumes and applicable SF 254/255's are required with this proposal. A project schedule is also required with this proposal. The scope of work is further defined in the conceptual/preliminary drawings, and specifications. Technical evaluations will be made based on (1) Experience 40 points, (2) Management Plan 30 points, (3) Financial Capability 15 points, and (4) Organization 15 points. Construction costs are estimated to be between $4,000,000 and $4,500,000.
