The work covered in this solicitation consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials (except government furnished materials) for the revitalization of the Aeromedical Staging Facility at McChord Air Force Base, Washington. Work will include asbestos containing material and lead base paint abatement or in place management. Demolition of: existing interior partitions, ceilings, doors and built-in cabinetry, existing exterior windows including stairwell windows, existing heating and ventilation systems, and existing lighting and power supply systems. Provide new: interior partition layout, ceilings, vinyl wall finishes, carpeting, interior doors, exterior windows to match existing recently installed, stairwell windows, horizontal mini-blinds for interior and exterior windows, rubber tread and landing cover for both staircases, added insulation to walls and roof, kitchenette, HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, energy management and control system, lighting system, power supply to workstations, offices, etc., communication system, and renovate and enlarge existing restroom. Performance period for this contract is 150 days. The magnitude of this renovation is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Solicitation will be issued as Un-Restricted on or about 10 August, 1998.
