The work consists of revitalization of 48 Junior NCO two and three bedroom family housing units constructed in 1956. Scope of work includes: increasing the size of the units to accommodate conversion to three and four bedroom units; install a half-bath on the first floor; relocated laundry to new utility room; renovate bathroom on second floor; add a master bathroom; install HVAC duct system and seal existing concrete slab encased duct system; replace heating system; convert utility system from fuel oil to natural gas; remove underground fuel tanks; increase insulation in attic space; replace interior and exterior electrical fixtures; abate lead-based pain and asbestos floor tile; install double pane thermo windows; reconfigure kitchen, bedrooms, living room and utility room. Support facilities include; road repairs; additional off-street parking; sidewalks; storm sewer; exterior electrical work; underground lines; install gas lines; landscaping. Ten percent of units shall be accessible and easily modifiable to accommodate the requirements of the handicapped. Magnitude of this project is to between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
