Z -- PAINT INTERIOR: REMOVE WALLCOVERING/COVE BASE, PAINT & INSTALL COVE BASE SOL F3860198Q0208 DUE 072098 POC SSgT Patty Gill, 803 895 6009 x268 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products/service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the solicitation, price quotes are being requested and***** a written solicitation will not be issued*****. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses identified in FAR subpart 12, FAC 97-3, as required. Standard industrial classification is 1721. This project will be procured using commercial item procedures. This procurement is to furnish all labor, parts, materials and transportation to remove wallcovering, prepare walls, trim and paint both, approximately 33109 sq. ft of wall surfaces, also to remove and install approximately 2781 linear feet new cove base in building 1118.***** Contractor shall be responsible for field measuring. No specifications/ drawings available.***** Contractor shall provide paint for the walls and trim; wall paint shall be color #1107, oatcake, latex enamel. The paint for the trim shall match the existing trim in color and shall be an oil base semi-enamel. Both paints shall meet the government specifications and shall be classic 99 as manufactured by Sherwin Williams or proven equal. The contractor shall remove all wallcovering in halls and atrium both upstairs and downstairs. The contractor shall fill holes, sand, and prepare walls and trim to receive paint. The contractor shall apply at least one coat of primer and two coats of finish The contractor shall remove and install approximately 2781 linear feet of new vinyl cove base. The cove base to be purchased and installed shall be 4" high, vinyl, .080 ga., color #583 chocolate, as manufactured by Roppe or equal. The cove base to be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. All surfaces to be free of voids and protrusions, smooth, secure, and professionally completed. The contractor shall prepare walls as necessary to receive paint. Contractor shall prepare walls to be smooth including patching all holes, clean, and acceptable. The walls shall be prepared in accordance with the paint manufacturer's recommendations. All paint residues shall be cleaned after painting. Remove and reinstall switch plates, signs, lettering, and other items to permit proper painting. The contractor will be allowed to work from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday without any special security requirements. The contractor shall remove and dispose of all debris off base and in accordance with environmental specifications. Contractor is to ensure all debris is removed from job site after installation is completed. The Building Facility Manager and the Base Civil Engineer Quality Assurance Evaluator will make inspection of completed work. The contractor must notify the Facility Manager and The Evaluator at least one week prior to start of work and upon completion. Delivery is to SHAW AFB, SC.
